Sweetbay Magnolia | Magnolia virginiana

$16.00
sold out

The native Sweetbay Magnolia is a semi-evergreen shrub or small tree (it loves the in-betweens!). It has aromatic leves and twigs as well as fragrant white flowers . These showy, velvety flowers are sure to attract attention. Prefers moist to wet, acidic soils but will also grow in sandy or clay soils. It's relatively slow growing, and it's best to prune it after blooming, during the growing season rather than during dormancy (unusual, but the dormant magnolias don't heal as quickly!)

Sun: Partial shade

Region of Origin:

Container Size: 1 gal
