Red Maple | Acer rubrum

$35.00
sold out

Red Maple trees are fast-growing trees with vibrant red fall foliage. Red Maples are commonly found in wetlands and forests, but they’re highly adaptable, growing in both very wet and dry soils, all the way from Florida to the Maritimes. They produce syrup that’s of equal quality to the sugar maple, but the season for tapping them is a little shorter (since the syrup flavor declines once the buds break dormancy). The red maple blooms with red flowers in early Spring, decorating the muddy Spring ground in a delightful red confetti.
