Golden Russet Apple Tree
Golden Russet apples are referred to as the “champagne of old-time cider apples.” It’s a medium-sized fruit, gray-green to golden bronze with a coppery orange cheek; heavily splotched with light brown russet. Crisp, highly flavored, fine textured, yellow flesh. Very sugary juice. Used for cider, dried apples, fresh eating, and cooking. Excellent keeper; under proper conditions, will keep from December until April. Vigorous, medium to large tree; often a tip bearer. Scab resistant. Ripens late in October. Originated in New York, 1845.

Root Stock: G969: 12-15ft, 15 ft between trees. Semi-dwarf, 12-15ft, resistant to fireblight, crown rot, and woolly apple aphid with good cold hardiness.
