It has thick, glossy, greenish to pale yellow skin almost covered with crimson stripes and splashes. It’s tart and makes excellent pies and sauces. It’s an annual producer, bears when young, and it’s resistant to apple scab, cedar-apple rust, and fire blight. It tolerates moist or heavy soils. A real tough work horse of an apple tree!
