Chestnut Crab Apple Tree
Chestnut Crab Apple is a large cooking and dessert crab apple. Attractive, reddish bronze fruit with some russeting. Crisp, juicy, sweet flesh with a pleasing nut-like flavor. Excellent fresh. Vigorous tree is upright but a little weeping. Large white blossoms with good shape and aroma. Fruit hangs well and ripens over a long period. Annual bearer. Cedar-apple rust resistant.
Rootstock: G969: 12-15ft, 15 ft between trees. Semi-dwarf, 12-15ft, resistant to fire blight, crown rot, and woolly apple aphid with good cold hardiness.
