A medium to large, long, conical fruit. Shiny, almost translucent skin is smooth, tough, yellowish or greenish white and striped with crimson. Firm, tender, juicy white flesh; mildly subacid and very aromatic. Pick just when the skin begins to develop a milky appearance. Dessert quality and excellent for all uses. A hardy, long-lived tree; an early, regular bearer. Ripens over several weeks during August and September. Withstands -40 degrees F. Dates back to 1850.

Root Stock: G969: 12-15ft, 15 ft between trees. Semi-dwarf, 12-15ft, resistant to fire blight, crown rot, and woolly apple aphid with good cold hardiness.
