Released by the University of Minnesota, it is cold hardy and an ealy ripener. The quality of the fruit is best when it's firm and crunchy. It's a large pear with beautiful colorings of deep maroons and chartruse. Stays small (for a pear tree), and is highly tolerant of urban pollution making it a great option for urban areas.
