Redfield apples have a deep red flesh and make an exceptional blood-red cider and a great jelly (high in pectin) or vinegar. Also good for baking with. Extremely hardy and disease-resistant. It's a heavy annual bearer, and a very beautiful tree with bronze leaves and red blossoms. Ripens in October. Redfield apples have a tart, astringent flavor when eaten fresh.

Root Stock: G969: 12-15ft, 15 ft between trees. Semi-dwarf, 12-15ft, resistant to fireblight, crown rot, and woolly apple aphid with good cold hardiness.

Region of Origin: Northeast, USA
